Srinagar, Sept 01: Agriculture Production and Rural Development Minister Javid Ahmad Dar on Tuesday inaugurated a newly constructed Block Development building at Supernaghama in the Qaziabad area of Kupwara district.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kupwara, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat (ACP) Kupwara, Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara and officials of the Rural Development Department.

The new building will provide dedicated infrastructure for the functioning of the Block Development administration at Supernaghama and is expected to facilitate more efficient implementation of rural development and Panchayati Raj programmes in the area.

Supernaghama falls within the Qaziabad area of Kupwara and has an established rural development administrative setup. The Block Development Office at Supernaghama has been involved in implementation of various government schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin.
The area has also witnessed continued investment in rural infrastructure. Recent government tender records show construction-related works being taken up at Supernaghama under Block Qaziabad, reflecting the ongoing development focus in the locality.
The presence of the minister, the local MLA and senior district and rural development officials at the inauguration highlighted the administrative importance attached to strengthening block-level infrastructure and improving access to government development programmes in the area
